Man Found With Gunshot Wound in North Philly Lot Dies

The shooter who shot a man in the head on Edgley Street in North Philadelphia on Saturday remains on the loose.

A man shot in the head on a North Philadelphia street Saturday afternoon has died from his injuries, NBC10 has learned.

Police said Temple University Police responded to Edgley Street near 17th at 4:39 p.m. and found the 25-year-old victim lying unconscious in a vacant lot, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his head. The officers took the victim to Temple University Hospital, where he went immediately into surgery and remained in critical condition for a short time.

At 7:43 p.m., police said, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Police said they are looking for three men in their late teens to early 20s who wore all black clothing and were seen running south on 18th Street after the shooting.
