Three Philadelphia prosecutors involved in a group that exchanged sexually explicit and raunchy emails are being reassigned amid calls for their firing.
The Philadelphia Daily News reports that two of the men have been pulled from an elite special investigations unit.
The move Thursday comes hours after City Council voted to have them fired over emails deemed racially and culturally offensive at best.
State Attorney General Kathleen Kane believes some of them are far worse. She has hired a special prosecutor to review the emails that circulated in her office when the men worked there.
They now work for District Attorney Seth Williams. He has sent them for sensitivity training.
The City Council vote targets assistant district attorneys Frank Fina, Marc Costanzo, and Patrick Blessington.
