Ex- Pennsylvania Governor Corbett's Former Son-In-Law Gets Jail in Theft

Former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett's ex-son-in-law has been sentenced to six to 12 months in jail for stealing $140 from an alleged drug dealer's luxury car.

What 45-year-old Gerold Gibson didn't know at the time is that the car was wired with hidden cameras and he was being watched by Philadelphia police internal affairs.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports the January 2013 "integrity test" came in response to reports the Gibson had stolen clothes and jewels while searching drug dealers' homes.

Gibson was sentenced Thursday by a Philadelphia judge. He was convicted of theft, obstructing the administration of law and other crimes earlier this year after a mistrial on the same charges in September 2014.

Judge Diana Anhalt told Gibson that, "Integrity is what you do when nobody else is watching."
