The Phillies are bringing out another local singer to perform the National Anthem, but this time some fans may be scratching their heads at the choice of Daryl Hall sans John Oates.
One half of the "Maneater" duo Hall and Oates, Hall is as Philly as it gets having grown up in the area and having graduated from Temple University.
Hall doesn't seem, though, to have the same pizazz as previous World Series anthem performers Patti LaBelle and Taylor Swift.
Hall does bring 30 years of popular music experience to the field and boasts eight Billboard No. 1 singles which is more than the upstart Swift can claim.
Some fans were hoping that some other Philly locals would have been singing the anthem -- The Roots, Jill Scott and even the Fresh Prince himself, Will Smith, have been rumored.
The question remains -- we have Hall, so where is Oates?
