Crews rushed to a North Philly street Tuesday after a building, which was under construction, crumbled to the ground.
Police said the front of the structure on north 18th Street near Page Street gave way just before 11 a.m. Tuesday.
City workers had reportedly been working at the site to convert the property for use as student housing for the university.
Police said an adjacent building was evacuated after it also was damaged by the collapse.
Utility crews were sent to the scene due to downed power lines.
