Rescuers rushed a neighbor to a local hospital for minor smoke inhalation after a fire ripped through a Grays Ferry home late Wednesday night.
Firefighters responded to reports of flames in a home along the 1300 block of Grove Street, near Wharton Street, in the city's Grays Ferry section around 11 p.m., officials said.
Crews took the injured, next door neighbor to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for observation, authorities said.
No other injuries were reported.
An investigation is underway into the fire's cause.
