Police say an employee was killed in a lawn mowing accident at a Pennsylvania golf course.
Officers and the Westmoreland County coroner's office were called to the Cherry Wood Golf Course after the 3:45 p.m. Tuesday accident.
County detective Thomas Horan said the mower was on the 14th hole of the Bell Township -- about 30 miles east of Pittsburgh -- course when something caused the tractor to tilt backward.
He said the mower had blades in the rear, and the man fell onto them. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His name wasn't released.
On its website, the golf course is described as having a "gently rolling terrain." Horan told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, however, that the area wasn't hilly and it was unclear what caused the tractor to tilt.
