A Montgomery County bridge reopened Thursday months after it was heavily damaged by sinkholes.
State Transportation Secretary Leslie Richards attended Thursday's ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Plymouth Road bridge in Plymouth Township.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports the state fast-tracked a $2.2 million bridge replacement after sinkholes in the foundation forced the bridge to close in March.
The two-lane bridge carries about 15,600 cars a day over Plymouth Creek between Butler and Germantown pikes.
The roadway reopened a few days early.
