Just last month a judge in Scranton banned the sale of bath salts -- a drug that mimics the effects of cocaine -- from being sold in the city, but that didn’t stop one man from getting his hands on the drug.
Early Friday, a Schuylkill County man was arrested for walking around with a machete while under the influence of bath salts, according to a news release obtained by the Morning Call.
Zachary Fidler was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, reports the paper.
Fidler is not the only Pennsylvania man that has been in trouble with the law in the last month thanks to the drug which causes severe paranoia and hallucinations.
In March, a 37-year-old Kenneth Albelli was arrested three days in a row while high on the salts.
Police say he was chasing cars, and in some cases, he even got into parked vehicles while drivers were behind the wheel.
