A New Jersey man accused of forcing his way into his ex-girlfriend's home last year and fatally stabbing her has been convicted of murder.
A Burlington County jury also found Rashon Causey guilty of burglary and weapons charges when it returned its verdict Friday during its second day of deliberations. The 39-year-old Burlington City man faces a lengthy prison term when he's sentenced Jan. 5.
County prosecutors say Causey and the victim, 37-year-old Shanai Marshall, were the parents of a young son.
The attack occurred in November 2016 at Marshall's home in Mount Holly. An autopsy determined that she died from a stab wound to the head.
Authorities have not said what spurred the attack.
