A gunman opened fire outside of a North Philadelphia bar overnight leaving a woman and two men shot in the leg.
“Preliminary information is that the three victims were standing on the sidewalk in front of a bar that was open for business around 11:30 p.m. when at least five shots rang out,” said Philadelphia Police Inspector Scott Small.
The shooter appeared to be standing at 27th Street and Lehigh Avenue and shot toward a crowd outside Home Plate Sports Bar on W Lehigh Avenue leaving a 30-year-old woman, a 22-year-old man and an 18-year-old man shot in the legs, said police. The victims were taken to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.
Small said he expected the victims to survive.
Police didn’t immediately get a description of the shooter. They hoped that surveillance cameras would help track down the gunman.
