New video was released Monday allegedly showing Philadelphia 76ers star Jahlil Okafor speeding on the Ben Franklin Bridge.
Okafor paid a $437 fine last week for driving 108 miles per hour over the Ben Franklin Bridge in October, 2015. The bridge’s speed limit is only 45 mph.
On Monday TMZ Sports released video of the incident in which a Delaware Port Authority cruiser chased after Okafor’s speeding vehicle, a Mercedes Maybach.
Last Thursday Okafor pleaded guilty to unsafe operation of a motor vehicle, according to his attorney Andrew Smith. Smith said Okafor paid the $437 fee but the check wasn’t accepted because Camden's law office tried to vacate the agreement. He said he believed it was vacated so community service could be added to the sentence. Okafor won't be required to do community service.
Smith said his client has learned his lesson.
