A man and two teenage girls were rescued this evening after a hot air balloon got stuck in a tree in Sicklerville, N.J.
NBC10 was alerted just before 8:00 p.m. by someone who lives nearby who saw the balloon stuck in the tree, with two people inside the basket.
Other residents heard the balloon before they saw it. "I was trying to take a nap when I kept hearing this 'whoosh, whoosh,' " said Bill Messner, who lives on Del Sordo Drive. "I opened the door and I saw this balloon in the middle of the tree and I thought that's not normal."
Skyforce10 arrived over the scene on Del Sordo Lane after emergency crews used ropes to pull the balloon free and rescue the people inside.
The large multi-colored balloon was quickly deflated, packed up and taken away.
