Delaware State Police have charged a Lincoln woman with sexually abusing a 17-year-old resident of a Middletown-area group home.
Authorities say troopers arrested 32-year-old Joniequa Macklin on Saturday at a Milford home where troopers learned she and the boy might be found.
Macklin is charged with 10 counts of rape, continuous sexual abuse of a child, sexual abuse of a child by a person of trust, and other crimes. She was being held in lieu of $86,600 secured bail.
The investigation began Sept. 4 after a report that the boy had run away from the group home. Troopers subsequently learned that he may have been involved in an inappropriate relationship with Macklin.
The boy has been turned over to authorities from the Prince George's County, Maryland, Division of Social Services.
