Funeral services were held Saturday morning for Timothy Connors, the Archbishop Ryan student who was struck and killed by a car earlier this week outside of school.
Ryan, 15, was crossing Academy Road near Comly Road around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday when a woman driving a Suzuki SUV hit him, cops confirmed.
One of Tim's teachers rushed to the boy’s aid and administered CPR, according to an Archdiocese spokesman.
Despite efforts to save him, Tim was declared dead at a nearby hospital around 4:10 p.m., according to investigators.
Hundreds of students, teachers and members of the Ryan community gathered at the school Tuesday night for an impromptu vigil.
"His loss is one that will be felt throughout the entire Ryan community," said Michael McArdle, President of Archbishop Ryan High School. "Our thoughts and prayers go out for Timothy and his family."
The driver of the SUV stopped on Academy after the crash and was questioned by police on the scene. She will not be charged.
Tim was the son of Southwest Philadelphia Police Det. Martin Connors, Mayor Michael Nutter said Tuesday night while accepting the democratic nomination for another term as mayor.

As he took the podium to claim victory, Nutter remembered Connors with a moment of silence.
"I'm going to ask that we keep Det. Martin Connors... Timothy's mother Georgette and their entire family in our prayers," Nutter said.
A viewing was held Saturday morning until 10:30 a.m. and was followed by a funeral mass at 11 a.m. at the Nativity B.V.M. Church in Port Richmond.
