Flashing Pastor Collared for Indecent Exposure: DA

Police arrested a local Methodist pastor for allegedly exposing himself to two women, according to the Montgomery county District Attorney’s Office.

Richard C. Rogers, a senior pastor for Jarrettown United Methodist Church in Dresher, was placed on temporary leave from the church after Upper Dublin police arrested him for allegedly flashing two women, the DA says.

The 46-year-old pastor posted $10,000 bail after being charged with indencent exposure, open lewdness, disorderly conduct and harassment, according to court documents.

Investigators say the alleged victims were members of an organization outside the church.

Bishop Peggy Johnson, who oversees about 900 Methodist congregations in the region, says the church began investigating Rogers after learning of the complaints against him in May.

He was placed on temporary leave June 1.
