A Philadelphia family was reunited with their missing dog just one day after a young girl's birthday.
Justine McCray told NBC10 she was walking with her dog Sasha to her mother’s house on 20th and Diamond streets Saturday afternoon when her dog got loose and ran away. McCray was especially heartbroken since it was just one day before her 5-year-old daughter's birthday.
But on Monday, the dog was found and turned in.
After being scanned for microchip identification, the microchip company called McCray to let her know Sasha had been found.
"She's so happy," McCray said of her daughter.
The family picked up the dog on Monday.
