Officials are investigating what caused a SEPTA bus to catch fire along Broad Street near the Wells Fargo Center in South Philly. The driver and all of the passengers managed to make it off of the bus safely.
Flames engulfed a SEPTA bus early Friday, destorying the vehicle as it sat on a South Philly street.
Video captured the fire that tore through the bus while it was parked on Broad Street near Pattison Avenue, not far from the Wells Fargo Center, around 1:15 a.m.
The heat from the fire caused a PECO pole to melt and drop onto the bus, further damaging the fire-ravaged vehicle.
No one was on the bus when the blaze overtook it, according to SEPTA officials.
An investigation is underway into the cause of the blaze.
