Burlington County Man Changes Plea, Admits to Killing Wife Then Dumping Body

A New Jersey man has pleaded guilty in the death of his wife, whose body was found in Maryland by investigators using a GPS device in his vehicle.

Burlington County prosecutors say 28-year-old Kyle Crosby pleaded guilty Tuesday to aggravated manslaughter and hindering apprehension in the death of 26-year-old Erica Crippen. As part of his plea bargain, charges filed against Crosby's 68-year-old mother will be dismissed when he's sentenced.

Crippen's body was found along a rural road in Sykesville, Maryland, in March. She had been missing since New Year's Eve, and Crosby admitted choking her that day.

The couple lived in Mount Laurel, in southern Jersey, with their infant daughter and Crippen's 7-year-old daughter.

Prosecutors say Crosby will receive consecutive terms totaling 31 years when he's sentenced Feb. 4.
