Barron Alexander, Son of Infamous Abortion Doctor, Due in Court for Robbery

Barron Alexander, son of the infamous Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell, is due in court for a robbery he allegedly committed before being shot by his victims.

Alexander, 22, whose former name was Barron Alexander Gosnell, was shot several times outside a home rented by college students along the 3700 block of Brandywine Avenue in the Mantua section of the city on June 4.

Philadelphia Police say Alexander broke into the home three times over a short period that Wednesday morning -- stealing cash and electronics. The last time he entered the home, police say, one of the residents woke up and got into a struggle with Alexander.

A second roommate then woke up, grabbed his gun and shot Alexander multiple times.

Alexander was hospitalized and later charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.

He is due in court for a preliminary hearing on Friday morning.

Attempts to speak with Alexander about the ordeal were not successful.

Alexander's father, Kermit Gosnell, is serving consecutive life sentences in prison for murdering three babies and a patient inside his Mantua health clinic. The office was dubbed a "House of Horrors" by investigators for its filthy conditions and improperly disposed aborted fetuses.
