A man was arrested after police say he was caught on video knocking a woman unconscious at a crowded park in Atlantic City over the weekend.
Police say Iben Hunter, 25, of Atlantic City, assaulted a 44-year-old woman at Brown Park on Martin Luther King Boulevard and Baltic Avenue Saturday. A video, which was posted on Facebook, shows Hunter standing in front of the 44-year-old woman who is sitting down, police said. Hunter then punches the woman in the face, knocking her unconscious, according to investigators.
The woman was taken to the hospital where she is currently in critical condition. While she was conscious, police say she was unable to complete a full interview with investigators. Police also say the Facebook video of the incident aided them in their investigation.
Hunter was arrested Monday and charged with aggravated assault. He was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $100,000 bail.
