An investigation is underway in Atlantic City after authorities say a body was found in laundry at a hotel along the boardwalk.
Police said Atlantic Palace Suites, on the boardwalk at New York Avenue, contacted them about 7 a.m. when someone found the body in a laundry basket. The body was originally reported to be in a laundry chute at the hotel.
The circumstances surrounding the person's death were unknown early Sunday. Detectives were at the hotel investigating later Sunday morning.
