Police are investigating a shooting that injured two people near a popular music festival in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Police say the incident occurred Tuesday night on Garrison and Guetter Streets near the Musikfest venue.
Bethlehem Police officers first spotted at least two people fighting in the area as a large crowd formed. As the officers dispersed the crowd, an unidentified gunman fired several shots, sending people running in different directions.
A man with a gunshot wound to his right hip was found a short time later in a parking lot at Main Street and Union Boulevard. He was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to St. Luke’s Hospital for further treatment. He is currently in stable condition.
Police say another man was shot in the groin. He was taken by private vehicle to the Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Muhlenberg Campus where he is currently in stable condition.
After determining that the shots were fired at the intersection of Garrison and Masslich streets, police took six to ten people into custody for questioning. No charges have been filed however.
