The heavy snow and strong winds brought by the Blizzard of 2010 has left tens of thousands of residents in the dark and in some cases out in the cold.
More than 150,000 outages were reported by local energy companies late Wednesday night as the storm moved off the coast.
PECO reported the highest number of customers left without service at 120,000. Bucks County faired the worst with 49,000 homes cut off from their electricity.
AJ Nesh of Bensalem, Pa. sent us an email Wednesday night underscoring the dire need for power.
"Bensalem out of power and we're getting cold as the night comes down on us," he said.
Debbie made a similar plea for her daughter who lives in Belmont Hills, Montgomery County. She says the mother of five was left in the dark and couldn't call PECO for help since her cell phone was ready to die.
Debbie's daughter was one of over 10,000 other Montco residents who are living by candlelight.

PECO officials say they have 450 workers on the streets working to get power restored, but admit it may take days before the juice is flowing to everyone again.
Power lines simply snapped as trees weighed down by wet snow toppeled down onto them.
Over in the Garden State, PSE&G says they have about 20,000 outtages in South Jersey and Atlantic City Electric reported more than 30,000 down the shore.
Electric company crews have been working around the clock since last weeks storm to get shore residents back online, but this latest storm seems to have set them back a bit.
Delmarva Power in Delaware said most of their outages -- about 13,000 -- are occurring in New Castle County.
