It's been three days since Martin Caballero dropped his family off at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City and then disappeared without a trace. Now that family is searching for any clue that could lead them to the man.
Martin, 47, traveled to the seaside resort with his wife and two girls on Friday to celebrate his daughter Jessica's 22nd birthday.
The North Jersey man dropped the women off at the casino's entrance just after 10:30 p.m., told them he was going to park the car and then went missing, according to authorities.
The women say they waited for Martin to return, but figured they had all missed each other.
"We didn't know where he was and I started to get worried because he never was late," his wife Libia Martinez said.
Four hours later, they learned Martin's car was found torched 50 miles away in Blackwood, N.J. No one was inside, police say.
Police say a stranger withdrew $300 using Martin's debit card at an Egg Harbor Township, N.J. bank just after 1 a.m. Saturday.
Surveillance video from the Bank of America located along the Black Horse Pike captured a shot of the man who appeared to be driving Martin's white 2009 Lincoln MKZ, authorities said.
Martin's family believes he may have been carjacked, but authorities have not yet released a possible motive for the disappearance.
"How did this happen," cried Jessica Caballero as she held a photo of her father Monday. "I wanna know how they took him and nobody saw anything."
Police searched the car and areas surrounding where the car was found and the bank, but have found nothing.
The women have been standing vigil inside an Atlantic City, N.J. hotel room, waiting for word. They plan to conduct their own search of the area Monday night.
