Friday, Jan. 15 is National Soup Day and in honor of, well, soup, the Oyster House is selling hot containers of it on the street.
From 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m., the restaurant, located at 1516 Sansom St., will offer pre-packaged New England clam chowder for $5.
“Nothing beats a hot cup of hearty soup on a winter’s day, and our special Soup Day offering will allow guests who don’t have time to join us for lunch to grab a bowl and take it away to enjoy at their leisure,” says Oyster House owner Sam Mink.
