Inspired by medieval village markets, there will be a distinct European flair to this shopping experience with authentic food, sweets and drinks for sale like Lebkuchen (Gingerbread Cookies), Stollen, waffles with whipped cream and crepes. However, gift-giving options span the globe as vendors offer an international selection that features ornaments and high quality arts and crafts.
Take in the picturesque shopping experience as thousands of lights illuminate the booths and trees along the Dilworth Plaza accented by a fully lit city hall. Aside from taking in the sites and shopping, live performances will entertain shoppers with local choirs, orchestras and bands all set to perform on various times.
Don’t forget to head for Santa's house to give the big man your wish list. Santa will be sitting for photos with kids throughout the span of the village and on Monday night will take photos with pets.
The Christmas Village opened on Thanksgiving and will remain open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily until Christmas Eve when it closes its doors for the season at 5 p.m.
Admission is free and as an incentive to visit, the village will even give you a $2 discount on parking at the underground AutoPark at JFK Plaza on 15th and Arch.
